Update for Friday, April 6, 2012

Hello all:
Just wanted to give you a brief update.
There have been a lot of changes around the studio, a lot of new stuff is coming, and a lot of awesome stuff is planned.
The reason I haven’t been able to post anything for a few weeks is because I’ve been busy trying to set up stuff for my next video, and my album, which is scheduled to be released sometime towards the end of the year.
Stay tuned,
and sign up for my mailing list (above) for exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what’s going on.

Until next time,

New Release: Sofia Rios – Yo Canto Por Vivir

Hello all.
For those of you who have been with me for the last 2 years or so, you know that my record label, JOPA Music, now called “Paez Productions”, signed our first artist in late 2010.

The Stone Cutters

Hey all:
As you can see, I’ve brought back my self-development and motivation posts. :)
So for today I wanted to share a story that caught my attention.

One day 3 men were working, when a passerby asked what they were doing.
The first man said: “I’m cutting stone.”
The second said “I’m earning a living.”
The third one said: “I’m building a cathedral.”

Did you see any difference?
The 3 men were doing exactly the same. But think, the first man probably didn’t see any point in it. He just did it it anyway. How many times have we said “That’s what all of them do” or “that’s what my father/mother/grandfather/uncle did” about our work?
Now take a look at the second man.
He’s happy because he’s earning a living, he’s focusing on the paycheck. How many people live that way around you?
Now look at the third man.
He’s happy as can be because he knows his stones are going to build a cathedral, a place where people will be able to worship.
I bet you he loves his work and, no matter his personal belief would love to see how the final product looks–for all we know he may already be picturing that cathedral complete every day, as he cuts more stone, he doesn’t think negative, he doesn’t think about his paycheck, he thinks “one more stone closer to the end. I can’t wait to see it!”

Which man shall you be?

Shall you be the first, complaining and negative? The second one, happier but paycheck oriented? Or the third, loving the work you do?

If those 3 men were working for an office, you know which one would get promoted faster?
You know which one feels better about everything?
The third one, obviously.

So, which shall you be?

Update: Low-Vision Support Now Complete

Hello all:
Just wanted to mention a few more updates.
First:
I have included a new system at the top of the page, identified by the letter a (A, AA, or AAA) for making the text larger.
Just thought I would put that out there for those of you with low vision.
More updates on the way for screenreader users, I plan to add keyboard short cuts sometime this week, but I’ll let you know about that later.

Quick Update

Hey all:
Just wanted to let you know about some updates.
First, as you’ll most likely notice when logging on to this site, I changed the tag line.
This is because I’m going to be doing a lot more then just music in the months to come,
launching a few new projects and stuff so I had to get away from that limiting tag line.
As far as my music goes, all is still on schedule.

Stay tuned. :)

Confirmed: My 3rd Studio Album to Be Released This Fall

Hey all:
Just wanted to let you know my 3rd studio album has been confirmed.

This album, unlike my others is so far estimated to be a standard length and may have some special guests, stay tuned for that later.
Name will be released when the official release dates are announced.
Please stay tuned, specially if you are in Europe, because I may have some special surprises for the EU/UK area soon.

Welcome to my site

Hello all,
its Jorge writing and I wanna welcome you all to my final edition of the site.
Sorry about all the switching around,
but I had a lot of things going on.
Anyway,
the site is now stable so enjoy.
In other news:
I had to take the free download down in the process of redesigning the site and so that won’t be back for a while.
I might put it back,
though that’s doubtful now that I’ve got major plans going on–more about that later though, can’t reveal the good stuff too soon can I?

Well that’s all for now.

Stay tuned for more updates coming soon. :)
